Mr. Motloch specializes in the investigation, testing, and failure analysis of electrical equipment, power systems and consumer products. With a versatile background that includes work experience in oil and gas, renewable energy, and residential design, Mr. Motloch is able to apply his practical knowledge in a wide array of forensic settings. Mr. Motloch has experience testing and evaluating third-party power, instrumentation, and control products for use in hazardous areas. He has design experience with portable equipment, variable frequency drives (VFDs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human machine interfaces (HMIs), motor starters, and control cabinets. In addition, Mr. Motloch tested, developed, and evaluated a wide variety of battery technologies, third-party energy storage systems (ESS), and battery management systems (BMS). Mr. Motloch earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and 24 other states.
